Dress Rental Software FAQ

When a dress is booked, Crystal blocks its availability for the entire rental period on the availability calendar. Any attempt to book the same dress for overlapping dates will show as unavailable — preventing double-booking at the point of reservation.

Yes. When a dress is returned, staff complete a condition check in Crystal. Any damage is recorded against the item and customer. The system automatically calculates the applicable damage charge and adds it to the customer's outstanding balance for payment via SoftPOS.

After a dress is returned, it is automatically placed in a "cleaning" status and removed from the available list. Only when staff mark the cleaning as complete does the dress become available again for booking — preventing rental of an uncleaned item.

Yes. If a customer returns a dress after the agreed date, Crystal automatically calculates the late fee based on your configured daily or hourly rate and adds it to the balance. The total is pushed to the SoftPOS terminal at settlement — no manual calculation required.

Yes. Crystal supports multi-branch rental operations with centralised inventory and reporting. You can view bookings, availability, and revenue across all locations from a single dashboard — or manage each branch independently with its own inventory.
